As this year winds down 

and I look back over the many stressful days

I need the reminder of who God is.

So, I'm studying some of the names of God

in the days leading up to Christmas.

Adonai is one of the many names that give me great comfort.
Used hundreds of times in the Bible,
Adonai reassures me God is my Master.
How can this provide comfort when,
by nature,
I would rather be my own master?
Knowing God is my Master allows me to rest in Him 
and in His work.

Adonai, a personal name, 

denotes God's strength, power, and Deity

"For in Thee, O LORD, do I hope: Thou wilt hear, O Lord my God."
Psalm 38:15
